De manera inesperada, por el coronavirus, muchas madres hemos tenido que asumir diversos roles. Hoy, además de cumplir con las tareas del hogar y las obligaciones laborales, debemos ayudar a nuestros hijos en sus tareas escolares, entre muchas otras. Y veinticuatro horas al día, aún estableciendo rutinas, no alcanzan para nada. 

Unexpectedly, due to the coronavirus, many mothers have had to take on diverse roles. Now, besides fulfilling household chores, work obligations we must help our children with their schoolwork and many more chores. Even establishing routines, twenty four hours in a day are not enough to complete half of the tasks planned out.

Con el COVID-19 nuestra forma de convivencia con familiares y amigos ha cambiado abruptamente. El aislamiento, desafortunadamente, no sólo nos ha separado de quiénes queremos y forman parte de nuestro entorno social y familiar sino que ha mermado nuestra vida cotidiana de una manera inesperada. Hoy, las calles están más vacías. Los comercios, en su mayoría, continúan cerrados y visitar a amigos y familiares resulta no ser una buena opción. 

COVID-19, has changed abruptly our way of living with family and friends. Isolation, unfortunately, has not only separated us from those we love and are part of our social and family environment, but it has also diminished our daily life in an unexpected way. Today, the streets are less trafficked. Most shops are still closed and visiting friends and family is not a good option.

El confinamiento nos mantiene en nuestros hogares con el fin de combatir esta pandemia lo que ha reducido de manera drástica el tiempo que, en una situación normal, invertíamos en realizar actividades al aire libre o fuera del hogar y en interactuar con personas distintas a nuestra pequeño entorno familiar.

Confinement keeps us in our homes in order to combat this pandemic, which in turn has drastically reduced the time that, in a normal situation, we invested in outdoor activities and in interacting with people other than our little nuclear family.

Hoy, el estar en casa, me exige buscar nuevas maneras de mantener a mi familia segura y de divertirnos con lo que tenemos a la mano para hacer este tiempo más llevadero y menos estresante para mí, mi esposo y mis pequeñas hijas. Nuestros días están llenos de juegos, lecturas, manualidades, paseos en bicicleta y pláticas durante nuestras comidas. Hemos salido a flote después de varios meses de estar juntos en casa creando inolvidables memorias familiares. 

Today, being at home requires me to find new ways to keep my family safe and to have fun with what we have on hand to make this time more bearable and less stressful for myself, my husband and my young daughters. Our days are full of games, readings, crafts, bike rides, and productive chats during our meals. We have come afloat after several months of being together at home creating unforgettable family memories.
